At Green & Black’s our aim is to create
great tasting chocolate. We believe that every step from bean to bar
is equally important – whether it’s using the finest organically
grown cocoa beans or taking that extra time and care to bring out the
intense flavour that has become our trademark.
DARK
70%
Cocoa solids are a combination of cocoa mass and cocoa butter.
The latter is there to coat each individual cocoa and sugar particle,
allowing the chocolate to melt beautifully and cleanly in the
mouth, revealing intense, bittersweet chocolate aromas. Available
in 100g and 20g bars.
MILK
(34% cocoa solids)
A darker shade of milk chocolate. We use more cocoa mass in our
milk chocolate than the majority of chocolate producers, therefore
placing the emphasis on the chocolate rather than the milk. Available
in 100g and 20g bars.
MAYA
GOLD
The first product to be awarded with the Fairtrade Mark back in
1994. Traditionally the Maya Indians in southern Belize flavoured
their cocoa with spices. We recapture this by blending rich, dark
chocolate with a refreshing twist of orange that is perfectly
balanced by the warmth of cinnamon, nutmeg and a hint of vanilla.

WHITE
To make our white chocolate we use cocoa butter, pressed directly
from the crushed cocoa beans. The smooth, creamy taste comes predominately
from the full cream milk and Bourbon vanilla. Available in 100g
and 20g bars
ALMOND
We take whole organic almonds, with their skins left on for an extra
nutty taste, and mould them into bars using our milk chocolate –
darker than most and all the better for it. Available in 100g bars.
CARAMEL
Although popular, caramel is often perceived to be too sweet.
The solution was to make a classic caramel and blend it with our
cocoa-rich milk chocolate and add a pinch or two of sea salt to
cut through the sweetness. Only then could it be filled into a
shell made from our darker shade of milk chocolate. Available
in 100g bars.
HAZELNUT
& CURRANT
The rich, intense flavour of our dark chocolate is balanced with
the sunburnt sweetness of organic currants and the toasted, nutty
crunch of organic chopped hazelnuts. Available in 100g bars.
MINT
The freshness of mint, whilst wonderfully clean and invigorating,
can overpower other flavours when they are combined. For this reason,
the goal for the mint bar was to achieve the correct ratio of dark
chocolate shell to mint fondant filling. We hope you agree that
neither the chocolate nor the mint dominate, but instead complement
each other perfectly. Available in 100g bars.
HOT
CHOCOLATE
To make our hot chocolate we blend our dark chocolate with raw cane
sugar, and cocoa powder pressed from the same cocoa beans as the chocolate,
to add extra intensity. When added to hot, fresh milk the result is
a cocoa-rich chocolate drink with a creamy froth, a rounded flavour
provided by the chocolate and a balanced sweetness. Available in 300g
jars.
COCOA POWDER
The cocoa beans used to make our Fairtrade cocoa are harvested at the
perfect point of ripeness, then carefully fermented and dried to maximize
the smooth, complex flavours of this delicious cocoa. It is this wonderful
depth of flavour that makes our cocoa ideal for recipes. Available in
100g tubs.
